Their Take:

“Toy” is one of our favorite songs from our last studio session. It actually wasn’t planned on being recorded, but it came together in the studio so easily.  It is also the first Hollywood Cemetery song to have a music video, which is coming out Friday.

Our Take:

So often you hear that an artist’s best songs just came naturally, and “Toy” seems to be another perfect example.  There’s a real tension and palpable energy contained in this song, between music that gets you moving yet leaves you hanging on to see what comes next and emotive vocals that seamlessly transition between pained and defiant.  The last two minutes take things to the next level, as the band breaks the tune down and slowly brings it back to a fever pitch, leaving us riled up and ready for whatever this young band does next.
